Valentines Day was created in the year 496 AD as a holiday to honor the early Christian martyr Saint Valentine. After that became a bummer some 15th century dude came along and turned it into a time for love birds to show their affection for one another by buying each other stuff and spending time together (doesn't that sound suspiciously similar to what we do on Christmas?) Luckily for us, it has also evolved into a time to create inappropriate and hilarious Valentines Day related memes to further ruin the sanctity of love and corrupt the masses. That's the fun part.

Below is a collection of hilarious terrible pictures that are being spread around the blogosphere. DISCLAIMER: If you are easily offended and/or very sensitive, you might want to discontinue reading this blog. It's All About the Kids!

Some adults really love Halloween (maybe even a little too much), but don't forget that the

holiday is really all about kids having fun becoming their favorite characters and eating

lethal amounts of sugar. If you're in charge of shooting a Halloween event, make sure to

capture all of those tiny costumes, smiles and eventually, exhausted faces. Kids always

make the most interesting and unpredictable photo subjects.

Don't Forget The Food

People aren't the only thing that gets scarier on Halloween. There's always tons of cute,

bizarre and often disgustingly decorated sustenance to be had. While you're party jumping,

be sure to hit the food tables at each location and grab some close-ups of the creative

cooking.

Lighting Is Everything

As I mentioned above, the conditions for shooting on Halloween tend to be pretty poor.

You'll no doubt find yourself in situation after situation of horrible lighting conditions

and it can be really tricky to capture the atmosphere. You'll want to pack a flash and look

for ways to diffuse it. Instead of pointing it directly at your subject, try bouncing it

off of walls, ceilings, shiny costumes; anything you can find! Also make sure to bring your

widest aperture lens and look for areas with some mood lighting already present.

Try A Long Exposure

While you're out there struggling with shooting in the dark, you'll have a great

opportunity for some creative and unique long exposure photos. Since it's Halloween, you

can use all the blurring that is normally frustrating to your advantage and create some

truly spooky images! The photo below is a perfect example. Notice how the small, streaked

light sources really add to the effect.

Book of Bad Arguments is a great primer for anyone looking to understand logical fallacies

and become a better debater. It helps that each logical fallacy is accompanied by a comic

featuring funny animals.

Writer and computer programmer Ali Almossawi teamed up with illustrator Alejandro Giraldo
